Viper Prompt
Unified Software Engineering Tool
"Beyond VIBE: Software Design, Architecture & Project Management"
Our Vision
While “one-prompt” AI tools produce unsustainable apps that crumble under iteration, Viper Prompt revolutionizes this landscape, empowering software programmers to build and manage sophisticated applications 3x faster and at less than one dollar per hour.
Leveraging the latest Frontier LLM (Large Language Models) models and 7 pending patents, Viper Prompt seizes the opportunity to lead the $187 billion AI-assisted Software Engineering Tool market by 2030, delivering sustainable, evolving applications for a new era of software creation.
Software auto-coding is a new and immature science. The existing methods are weak in four areas: losing context when the AI is confronted with large prompts, high token inference costs, and non-existent software architecture & project management capabilities . The Viper Prompt Unified Software Engineering Tool solves all four of these deficiencies using a revolutionary algorithm that turns a code base into a 2D picture, greatly facilitating the software development process while simultaneously reducing LLM inference costs.
Viper Prompt lives to serve independent developers needing cost-effective tools, and enterprises demanding scalable solutions. Viper Prompt addresses not only automatic application generation, but also several other significant parts of software development: the 70% of time that developers spend on non-coding tasks like designing, architecting and managing software projects. This positions it to capture significant market share over traditional vibe coding platforms.
These strengths help Viper Prompt provide all levels of users with a less stressful application creation experience, and with less iteration. And, managers of Viper Prompt projects gain moment-to-moment insight into project progress.
Our Mission
We aim to clarify software projects for all stakeholders while maintaining flexibility for diverse project needs. We work hard to provide our service at the lowest cost possible.
We believe strongly in customer privacy, customer support and transparent pricing, and so we work hard to expand and enhance these areas of our Mission.
Our Business Model
Viper Prompt has a pre-paid, ‘pay as you go’ business model.
As a customer uses Viper Prompt, the Viper Prompt app will be calling various LLM models through Open Router, a third party LLM API access provider. When a user buys pre-paid credits, their Viper Prompt account balance is increased.
The account balance is visible to the Viper Prompt user at all times. While using Viper Prompt, this account balance will decline as LLM API calls are automatically made during the auto-generation of the code required to fulfil the user's vision.
Viper Prompt, like OpenRouter, adds a transaction fee to all user LLM charges made through OpenRouter. In typical use, this will amount to a cost of less than one dollar per hour. When you are not using Viper Prompt, no charges are occurring against your account balance.
Our Customers: Maximizing Customer Privacy
Viper Prompt is not a SaaS (Software as a Service) application. It is designed for the ultimate in user privacy: users download the Viper Prompt app to their Windows desktop where all Viper Prompt data is kept private, safe and secure… basically protected by the physical security and privacy of your local computer.
You don’t need an account to use Viper Prompt. Viper Prompt installations are only referenced by their arbitrary installation machine id. Viper Prompt uses Stripe as its backend user payment system, and Viper Prompt receives no customer data back from Stripe except the amount to credit to the user’s installation id. When you buy credits through Stripe for your Viper Prompt use, you will be given a secure code to import into your Viper Prompt installation, which will bump up your balance.
When you use Viper Prompt, it will be making LLM vendor API calls with fragments of your application’s source code. The privacy and security of your application source code is further enhanced because Viper Prompt generated prompts are sent to various random OpenRouter models using a randomized set of OpenRouter API keys. This greatly obscures your application source code, further reducing the ability of OpenRouter and LLM providers to piece together your application, assuming they act counter to their claims of user privacy.
Our Technology
- Available as a free download for Windows 10/11 Desktop with a pay-as-you-go pricing model tied to the machine of use and Viper Prompt database instance, Viper Prompt enables users with little coding expertise, and expert developers, to create sustainable applications and amplifies user skill levels by at least three times. It supports continuous application evolution—fixes, upgrades, enhancements, and refactoring - as living entities, addressing deficiencies in traditional "one-prompt" solutions.
- Traditional LLMs are constrained by their context window size, conversational bloat, and lack of structured project management, hindering coherence in complex coding tasks. Linear code processing obscures application structure, and large code bases often exceed token limits, leading to incomplete outputs. Viper Prompt addresses these with its secret weapon: the ViperTree. The ViperTree holds a 2D view of the entirety of the user's software project, consuming only one-tenth the token budget of raw source code while retaining full project fidelity. Viper Prompt endeavors, at all times, to reduce the need for users to be constantly typing, typing, typing LLM prompts. In fact, the original impetus for Viper Prompt was to alleviate exactly this problem: why should I have to engineer a long and exacting prompt when the system should ‘know’ what I need? With Viper Prompt, the answer is Yes. How does it do this? Viper Prompt’s project knowledge is stored in a tree structure (the ViperTree). This hierarchical tree graph unifies complex software structures that leverages this simple concept: complex structures, database schemas, GUIs, projects, sub-projects, components, and file systems can be expressed as tree and sub tree graphs. The ViperTree stores the skill level of the user, their vision, every prompt that Viper Prompt makes, every bit of code in every version. It evolves constantly during the creation of the user's project. Nothing is lost: all knowledge about the user’s application is stored in this tree structure. This tree data informs Viper Prompt how to construct prompts to achieve the user’s desired vision. All automatically. To further understand the science behind Viper Prompt, readers are invited to read our PDF science paper available here:
-
- The central idea of the paper is to be 'prompt token stingy'... that is, to drastically reduce the number of tokens (think words) required to describe a software code base while retaining enough fidelity to perform common tasks such as locating the position in the source code of a bug, enhancement, etc. The paper reveals four significant findings:
-
1. Over 90% of context prompt words can be squeezed from raw source code and still maintain task fidelity.
2. The squeezed context prompt is considerably more human readable than the source code it portrays, in spite of being 'compressed'. This is contrary to our usual experience of compressed digital media, but probably due to the fact that the Viper Tree makes a human readable 'picture' of the code base... it essentially makes a 2D picture versus the 1D nature of source code.
3. Frontier LLMs easily understand these reduced context prompts.
4. Squeezing source code at these high compression ratios result in a 90%+ fewer tokens, which translates to a significant reduction in LLM inference costs.

Our Limitations
Viper Prompt is not for everyone.
While Viper Prompt will multiply the skill level of the user, it will not make a person 'off the street' into a software engineer.
Users of Viper Prompt are responsible to provide their vision and specifications for their application. Viper Prompt places the user ‘in-the-loop’ and will ask the user clarifying questions. And while Viper Prompt endeavors to make this as painless as possible, it will require some effort on the part of the user to convey their vision and specifications to Viper Prompt with enough fidelity to allow it to automatically produce their vision. In keeping with making the specification process as easy as possible, there is an ‘Explain’ button which will display detailed explanations when the user needs this kind of guidance.
Viper Prompt users are responsible for testing their application. This is often an iterative process. Users should expect to test their application at key points during the Viper Prompt process. Viper Prompt can not read the user’s mind, and truly can not tell if it is fulfilling the user’s vision without feedback from user testing. Only the user can tell if Viper Prompt is hitting the mark.
Viper Prompt is not free. Users should plan to spend about 90 cents per hour while using Viper Prompt. A novice user should be able to produce a simple app in a week.
Viper Prompt is not Open Source. However, many aspects of Viper Prompt are user extensible making it an Open System.
Viper Prompt is only as good as the underlying AI models it calls. Experience shows that while these models are constantly improving, they will sometimes fail when coding complex algorithms, even if carefully specified.
